English is the international language nearly all over the world. Hundreds of millions of people are trying to learn English. Some people think that learning English should be in the same way little children learn their mother tongue. They shouldn’t learn grammar rules. They should only listen to others when they speak English and try to understand and repeat what they say.

What is your opinion? Which is the best way of learning English?

I think these are the best ways to learn English
  • watch movies in English
  • read books in English
  •   try to speak english during the day.

II.Good luck or hard work?

Some people believe in good luck. They think that no matter how hard you work you won’t be a success in life if you are unlucky. Others think that it is only hard work that can lead you to the fulfillment of your dream.

What is your opinion?
I believe that success comes when you work hard, and when you are successful.

III. When did you last do something first?
I went to a fitness club for the first time last month. I'm very scared of swimming, but I decided to go swimming this month. "

The life of the old is not so interesting because they rarely remember when they last did something first. On the other hand, young people’s lives are interesting as they can experience something new nearly every day. So, when did you last do something first? You can write about the latest discovery you made or about a small invention you did. You can also write about a new skill or knowledge you gained recently.

It’s hard to believe that no one had computers a few years ago. I wonder how people lived. There must have been a lot of paperwork. I can’t imagine writing everything by hand. I also wonder how everything worked without computers. We need computers today for everything. Hospitals, airports, the police… nothing can work without computers. I’m sure I’d be ten times busier than now if I didn’t have a computer. Imagine having to find a piece of paper and an envelope and then walking down the street to mail a letter! I love my computer. It makes everything in my life so convenient. Sure, it freezes and crashes sometimes. Sure I lose some data. But that’s not often. Most of the time my computer is like my best friend.

When did you first use the computer?
I first used the computer when I was a student about twenty years ago.

When did you buy your first personal computer?
I bought my first computer about five years ago.

What computer programs do you know?
I use word, excel, paint, geogebra, math-o mir, moviemaker
computer programs.

Do you use the computer at work every day?
Yes, of course, our school is computer-based, that's why we use the computer every day. We do our projects with the computer.

I have begun our regular lessons after the winter camp. I have had Geometry and Algebra lessons with my student. I have explained my students what a circular is. Here are some Geometry terms concerning the circle.

circle– շրջանագիծ, շրջան

Diameter – տրամագիծ

Radius – շառավիղ

Chord – լար

Tangent շոշափող

We explained that a straight line and circle can have one or two points(կետեր) in common(ընդհանուր), it can also have no point in common.
Definition(սահմանում): A line that has only one point in common with a circle is called the tangent to that circle, and their common point is called the tangent point of the line and the circle.
Theorem on the properties of the tangent. Շոշափողի հատկանիշների թեորեմը.
Theorem. The tangent to the circle is perpendicular (ուղղահայաց) to the radius at the point of tangent.

Algebra

I have recently explained to my students the ranges (միջակայքերը) on a digital line (թվային ուղղի վրա).

Ranges on a digital line
Theoretical material:
Let x be the coordinate axis of two real numbers satisfying the condition a <b. (a is smaller than b)
All the points between a and b segment is called [a; b]. range: a և b կետերի միջև ընկած հատվածի բոլոր կետերը [a; b] միջակայքն է:

Today I want to summarize (ամփոփել) the winter camp that we had in January.

I want to tell you about one day, the 19th of January. At first we opened the blog of our Scientific Technical Review (բնագիտատեխնիկական ստուգատես). We studied what projects were presented at the Scientific technical Review in 2021. There were some very interesting projects. The review gave the learners a chance for creating new things.

For the Scientific Technical Review, I and my  winter camp students prepared math games, which we presented to the review, we prepared with the help of the learning.apps website. I also presented my article about the magazine.

The Sports Review is going on. Three days ago we went to Jrvezh with our Middle School students. Jrvezh is higher than Yerevan, and there is a lof snow there. We enjoyed ourselves sledging, playing snowballs and having a lot of fun.

We also went to the “Yeraz” winter park. The students went skating there.

On the 25th of January we had a meeting with the editorial staff of the Electronic journal “Mathematics”. We discussed the math problems of the school olympiad.

Lesson 5.

Ուսումնական նյութ երկխոսության համար.

-How do you organize your lessons during pandemic? Do you go to school every day?

-I go to school every day but not all the students come to school every day. Some of them prefer to have online lessons.

-Can you combine (համակցել) online (առցանց) or distance (հեռավար) lessons with face to face lesson in physical environment?

-Of course, I can. I have created several groups of my students on the Microsoft Teams platform. When my lesson in the physical environment starts, I activate the online platform on my computer, and my distance students are able to connect with us through the Teams platform. When I speak in a loud voice both my distance students and the students sitting in the classroom can hear me. When the distance students speak, their voices are heard in the classroom.

-How do you check the students’ homework?

-All the students and teachers in the schools of our EduComplex run their educational blogs. The teachers write down the assignments on their blogs, and the students publish the answers on their blogs. Educational blogs are very useful for carrying out educational projects.

 lesson 1.

–It is generally agreed today that … Ընդհանուր առմամբ այսօր ընդունված է, որ …

It is generally agreed today that smartphones should be banned (պետք է արգելվեն) at schools.

 It is a well-known fact that … Հայտնի փաստ է, որ …

It is a well-known fact that many people want to ban (արգելել) smartphones at schools.

The supporters of this (idea) point of view claim that … Այս տեսակետը պաշտպանողները պնդում են, որ …

Claim – պնդել

Support – աջակցել, պաշտպանել supporter – աջակցող, պաշտպանող

Point of view – տեսակետ

The supporters of this point of view claim that smartphones distract (շեղում են) students’ attention (ուշադրությունը) from the lesson. They play computer games, listen to music with their earphones (ականջակալներ) or watch films.

I have an opposite pint of view. Ես հակառակ տեսակետ ունեմ:

In my opinion, smartphones will really distract students’ attention if the only source (աղբյուր) of information or knowledge (գիտելիք) are text-books. (դասագիրք)

In the schools of our EduComplex (կրթահամալիր), we  carry out (իրականացնում ենք ) media education.(մեդիա կրթություն)

Our education is blog-based and project-based.

Blog-based – բլոգային

Project-based – նախագծային

We create (ստեղծում ենք) our own (սեփական) teaching materials (ուսումնական նյութերը) and publish (հրապարակում ենք) them on our blogs.

By doing educational projects students themselves create teaching materials. They study different articles (հոդվածներ) or simply (պարզապես) information on the internet and compose (շարադրում են) their own texts on a certain topic (որոշակի թեմայով).

So studying different texts and composing our own texts is the main (գլխավոր) advantage (առավելություն) of blog-based and project-based education. Smartphones of the latest models (վերջին մոդելների) can be used as computers.

Project-based teaching-learning process also helps to develop (զարգացնել) critical thinking.(քննադատական մտածողությունը)

  4. What kind of education do you carry out at Mkhitar Sebastatsi EduComplex?
  5. I  carry out  media education  at Mkhitar Sebastatsi EduComplex?
